Chromatrance is a non-profit photography studio based in Billerica, Massachusetts, founded by longtime collaborators Chris Arbeene and Jim Gregor. We specialize in fashion photography using hi‑key lighting — a clean, bright, all‑white background that keeps the focus on the model. Our studio is located within a residential home and equipped with professional-grade lighting and gear. While the space is modest, the results are polished, professional, and portfolio-ready. This is not a commercial studio — it’s a creative space built for collaboration, comfort, and quality. All shoots are conducted indoors and designed to be empowering, respectful, and creatively rewarding. Models are compensated for their time, travel, and preparation. The compensation amount is determined by us in advance and is not subject to negotiation. We also maintain a clear image policy: professionally edited images are delivered after the shoot, typically within days or weeks, and the number of final images is at our discretion. Chromatrance has built a reputation for professionalism, safety, and respect. Many of our models return for multiple sessions, and we welcome new collaborators with the same care and integrity. Chaperones are always welcome, and we encourage models to connect with others for references — we’re proud of the trust we’ve earned.
